Licenses
Hymns and congregational songs require a copyright license in order to print copies or project the content for worship. Prelude supports four of the most common copyright licenses in use today: CCLI, OneLicense, LicenSing, and Augsburg Fortress Hymns and Songs License.
Prelude allows you to log the license number and expiration dates of the copyright licenses you subscribe to, and it checks when you download hymn/song content to see if you have the right license for reprinting or projecting. If you do have the right license(s) then all is well. If, however, your licenses don’t cover some portion of the material, Prelude will automatically ask you how many copies you’ll be printing and then produce a letter requesting permission – complete with the correct copyright administrator’s address, phone number, and email address (where available). You’ll get a separate letter for each administrator whom you need to contact.
